    Andi (Wandi, Pandi, Dandi)
    Thanks to WG a blog I wrote about my Andi (The Phyllis Diller of Dogs), the dog who was all wrong for us, is now a reality.

    We called her Andi Wandi Pandi Dandi. She was a good girl, and I miss her every day. Every 4th of July we stayed home because firecrackers (and other loud noises) frightened her, and she spent the evening practically glued to my late husband.

    Now that I know how to post photos (thanks to Alty and WG) here's Andi on the 4th of July 2006. Three months this coming Friday - but it's going to be okay.

    According to the Animal Shelter she was a "German Shepherd mix." No way. We did one of those DNA kits and that said Gordon Setter. I've never seen so much hair on one dog, and she had a beautiful plumed tail!

    Thanks - I miss her terribly. We went through a lot together, the 3 of us - Andi, Gretch and me.

    Thanks - it's 100% true.

    I had been at that particular shelter, a City shelter, to pick up dog bite reports when I was working but had never looked at dogs there. I have no idea why we went there instead of a rescue or the SPCA. I'm always amazed at how/life fate works.

    And we did call her Andi Wandi Pandi Dandi - to her extreme delight.
