Antique smith and wesson revolver 1889
I recently was given an antique smith and wesson revolver
Rough shape but still like it - don't know that much about guns
On the bottom of the handle the number is 161050
It has the trade mark on the side smith and wesson
On the top of the barrel is says smith and wesson springfield made usa
    Pat oct 8 1882 aug 4 1885 April 8 1889
It is hammerless and cylinder holds 5 bullets
I need to find pearl handles for it and would like it restored
    Anyone with suggestions greatly appreciated

You may be able to contact S&W with that information and they can probably tell you more about it.

Do you know what caliber it fires? That can also help in identification. Also depending on age you might not want to restore it as it may destroy the true value. Do you have a picture you can post?
