    How thick is the lead in a lead joint
    Im getting ready to take the Indiana pluming test and I was wanting to know how thick the lead
    Is suppose to be in the hub of the cast iron.

    The 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code says to a depth of not less than one inch.

    After caulking, the finished joint shall not extend more than 1/8 of an inch below the rim of the hub.

    I'd double check the code book you've trained with, though.

    Thanks for the answer I was told 1 inch I just wanted to be sure before I went.
