    Diagnosed with depression and I was put on Citalopram
    Last October I was diagnosed with depression and I was put on Citalopram tablets and everything got too much for me and I took an overdose.I had to leave college due to this and have now been forced to sign on due to no money and have started to feel very depressed and suicidel again . I just feel that I am not good enough to be here and maybe people would be better of if I wasn't . The jobcentre continuously push me into going to group interviews and stuff like that and I can not do it as I start having panic attacks . I really am fed up and no longer know what to do!

    Are you seeing a mental health professional? Is there follow up since you were placed on the medication?

    I don't understand what you mean by having to "sign on." Did you have to go on public assistance or unemployment or something similar?

    Is there a possibility you can be placed on some form of disability while you seek professional help?

    You truly do sound desperate - and, no, the World would not be a better place without you. I know it's easy for me to say, but it's true. You need to get through this, get on the correct medication, become productive.

    First step is finding someone to listen to you and perhaps prescribe.

    Do you have family? Are they supportive?
