    CE marking on wrist watches
    Hi,

Hope someone is able to help.

Do (quartz analogue) watches require CE markings on the case backs?

I have been advised that this is correct under the EU ROHS 2 Directive, but haven't been able to obtain any documentation to prove this.

I have been given various website links etc but nothing states that watches are included or exempt from this directive.

Your comments would be very much appreciated.

    Many thanks

As the CE mark simply shows conformity with the essential requirements of the applicable EC directives.
It is not a quality standard or selling requirement.
