I work in a healthcare facility--was what happened a HIPAA violation?
And I had a miscarriage so I took some time off. I informed employee health and took a fml. I only told my supervisor what was happening to me. I came back to work two Weeks later and now everybody knows I miscarried was this a HIPAA violation.

I am very sorry for your loss.

When you miscarried, did you miscarry at the facility where you work? If not, this is not a HIPAA violation but is rather unethical for your superiors to make this information public.

Actually not, in most places people know what is going on. You would be surprised,
To be honest it is very possible, since places I have worked, people often know things I am going to do before it happen

You came here for help. People here volunteer their time and expertise to help you. There is no call to be rude.

You gave us very little info to work on, so we sometimes have to ask questions to give the right advice.

If you work in a Healthcare facility then you should know that HIPAA governs giving out diagnosis and treatment information from your medical practitioner to an unauthorized third party.

So tell us what medical practitioner that treated you revealed your diagnosis and treatment?
