Toshiba 52HM84 HDMI port is not working

I have a Toshiba 52HM84 which I am trying to use with my ps3. But the HDMI port on the TV seems to not be working. The ps3 works with other devices so it is obviously the TV that is at fault. Any ideas on how to fix it?
