Information about my dog's Multiple Myeloma diagnosis
I posted yesterday that my dog has been diagnosed with gallbladder problems after being quite sick for several months. My Veterinarian (who referred us to the specialist who saw us yesterday) just called with the lab results.

It appears she has Multiple Myeloma, to be (possibly) confirmed by additional blood tests this coming week.

My Vet's exact words were, "God forbid, I think it's Multiple Myeloma."

I have done my research and know how bad this can be. I also know how quiet and sick she's been. Her symptoms never fit the Pancreatitis diagnosis. They do fit the Gallbladder diagnosis (which still stands) and definitely the Multiple Myeloma diagnosis.

I'm heartsick. Does anyone know anything I'm not finding on line?

About the College of Veterinary Medicine :: North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine

Oncology is certainly not my thing. We have treated lymphomas at our clinic, but most owners are referred to our local teaching hospital about an hour away.
I added the link in case you haven't already searched it out on your own.
There should be some helpful information in there.

I know it will be difficult and you've probably already heard it, but try not to stress too much until you get the additional testing done.
    Take care
