    IE 8 in Windows 7 Home Premium Edition
    Crashes and stays in a crash loop, and the only way out of it is to reboot the computer.

    Make sure your system is FULLY patched as IE 9 is now the current browser.

    You should be able to uninstall IE8 in Control Panel > Programs and features. Definetely best to go with Chrome or Firefox instead of IE. Maybe get Ccleaner and do a Registry cleaning as well.
