How much per foot should I charge per foot to dig, install, cover and seed a waterlin
4" ductile iron, 1 fire hydrant, 1 blow off valve and 4 gate valves. Also digging a pit to bore under the road. Approximately 2000 feet of line. They are providing all the supplys. I'm using a Kubota excavator and a 1 ton dump truck. Also making taps from water line to a curb stop. Property owners are responsible from curb stop to house. How much is reasonable to charge homeowners to dig, lay and hook up to meter in house(includes boring through foundation. I will need to hire a person to help. $10 per hr.

What part of the country would this be in?

For instance... these are buried WAY deeper in North Dakota than they are in Central Texas. And that is just one factor that will influence price.

The depth is approximately 4'. South Western Pennsylvania is the location. There is already an existing waterline in the ground. This line will be laid approximately 5 to 10 feet away. Ground is moderate, meaning not a lot of clay or rock. Back fill will be what was excavated, minus large stone if any. Using an 18inch bucket on machine. No electric lines or any underground cables to contend with

Are you bidding the job against other contractors? Is the OP holding you to a bid? It's almost impossible to estimate a job without being on site to access all aspects of the job. Your project sounds complicated. Lots of things to give you issues. If it were my call I'd take the job on time and material. Good luck, Tom
