    Replacing Weathertron thermostat with Honeywell
    I am attempting to replace our Weathertron thermostat with a Honeywell RTH3100C. We have a Trane heatpump system. I am having trouble with the wiring. My wires don't match the 'less common wire designations' in the manual.
    I have the following wires on the Weathertron:
    R-red
    T-brown
    O-orange
    G-green
    Y-yellow
    X2-black
    B-blue
    W-white
    F-Pink
    and a grey wire I don't think was connected to anything-it is not taped off, and we don't remember disconnecting it, it just suddenly appeared after we took off the wire plate.

    Here is what I have based on the Honeywell installation guide:
    E=Weathertron X2
    Aux=Weathertron W
    Y=Weathertron Y
    G=Weathertron G or F (not sure which one to do)
    O=Weathertron O
    L=Weathertron F
    R=Weathertron R
    B=Weathertron B (not sure which one to do)
    C=Weathertron B

    I'm not sure where the T wire should go or what to do with the grey wire.

    Thanks for the help.

    The thermostat you have will not work with your system. You need a heat pump thermostat. READ number 1 Introduction to see what I mean.
