    Rules for writing dates with the body of a letter?
    What is the correct way to write the following two sentences in a business letter:

    I am writing in response to your letter of the 10th.

    I am available to speak on either the 20th or 21st.

    I am writing to you in response to your letter of January 10, 2012. I am available to speak with you on either February 20, 2012 or February 21, 2012.
