Why does the graph log(x^(1/2)) look like it does? Characteristics?
Can someone help explain why this graph does what it does?

You know that log(x^(1/2)) = (1/2)log(x) -- so how do you think the graph will look? If you know what the graph for log(x) looks like, what can you conclude about 1/2 log(x)? Be sure to consider its domain and range, where it crosses the x-axis, and does it have any maximums or minimums.
