GE Dryer still squeaking after replacing parts
I have a GE Electric Dryer model number DSXR453EV0WW It was making this aweful squeaking noise constantly and we found the felt in with our clothes, well part of the felt. After doing some research we decided to do some repairs ourselves. We put in new felt, a new bearing drum, and a new belt. Figuring the dryer was 7 years old now that it could use these parts. The plastic pieces, 4 of them that go on thebearing drum where shaved right off so along with the new bearing drum we got the plastic pieces called slide drums. So after spending over $100 The dryer still is squeaking and we can't figure it out. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank-You Rhonda:confused:

Most GE dryers also have a roller bearing wheel that maintains tension on the belt. Did you replace that bearing too, it frequently is the first to fail. Some dryer manufacturers have taken even a cheaper route and maintain tension with a teflon skid under spring tension.
