    O2 sensor
    Hi everyone,

Please help me! My exhaust manifold cracked right down the middle on my 2000 Honda Civic LX. So I bought a replacement. Now the O2 sensors won't fit to the opening. Can you buy a longer wire for the O2 sensor? If you can where would you get one? Do I need to return my replacement? I know this question may sound stupid, but I have no idea what to do, and my boyfriend is currently outside taking my entire car apart!

Be very careful here. Oxygen sensors are extremely sensitive to everything and, if you don't do things right, it will throw a code forever. Read section I below:

I don't recommend extending the pig tail, if at all possible. We are dealing with millivolts here. Get a Denso oxygen sensor--its pig tail should be long enough.
