    I think you should separate them or there are other males in the tank are there fins hurt please be specific if there find are hurt or not

    Separate them. Take the male out at the very least. Male and female bettas should never be kept together, with the exception of for breeding purposes. And it sounds like you may have multiple females? They can get along under the right circumstances. But, you may need to separate them as well.
