You should check the yellow pages or Google for any animal shelters in your area; the
American Humane Society should be able to help you find a local office (and if you are not from the US, your country may have a similar organization). I really would recommend you call around and see if any of those places will come and rescue the cat/kittens at no charge.
I am a huge cat lover myself and hope that this is something you can resolve, or it will work itself out... I think you should start making calls, though. Nature could either help the cat through it, or she could not survive it at all. Either way, as you aren't a vet you shouldn't go trying to remove the kitten yourself--not only could you cause more damage, the fact that it's a feral cat could mean it has diseases or could simply try to attack you and scratch you up pretty badly.
