    Ford vs chevy
I need some opinions here. I like ford but my boyfriend likes chevy and I am trying to prove him wrong. Help me out please. Thanks!chevrolet stands for: cheap heap every valve rusts or leaks every time. Or if you prefer: cracked heads every valve rattles oil leaks engine ticks

GM consistently sells more cars and trucks than Ford. 1.695 million Chevy, 1.425 million Ford, so far this year.
Ford has 4 of the top 20 sellers at the moment, Chevy 6.
Ford does remain at the top of the list with the F series pickup.

Asking for opinions will get you a few opinions. Statistics nationwide tell a better story. But even then, models vary a lot in how reliable they are. Both GM and Ford have their lemons.

Whit, ford is building a new plant in India, that's a minus for me. I would think the U.S. could have used the jobs.

LOL I'll bet people are scrambling to build the Indian Tata in the US. Except of course it won't be a Tata anymore with all the American standards, and it will go from a $4,000 car to a 15,000 car.

Liking ford means First On Race Day. If you don't like ford it means Fix Or Repair Daily.

As far as ford trucks and cars vs chevy you have to hold each to its own category. You can't compare a chvy truck to a ford car and a ford truck to a chevy car.

In today's world they both make decent products. Both companies are inovating and coming up with new ways to win the hearts of the general public. Some of the newer cars that have been real winners for Ford are the Ford fusion and the mustang. For chevy its been the camaro and impala.

So take your pick and in most new cars or trucks you will find a winner.

Pardon my love of statistics vs. guys and their nosiy valves.
The nation has spoken and usually knows whereof they buy.
Here's the top 20 by sales, just August:

    Ford F Series PU
    Chevrolet Silverado PU
    Toyota Camry / Solara
    Nissan Altima
    Chevrolet Cruze
    Dodge Ram PU
    Hyundai Sonata
    Ford Escape
    Honda Accord
    Ford Fusion
    Chevrolet Malibu
    Chevrolet
    Honda CR-V
    Toyota Corolla
    Hyundai Elantra
    Volkswagen Jetta
    Ford Focus
    Kia Sorento
    Chevrolet Impala
    GMC Sierra PU

I have a Honda. I can't even remember if it's a Civic or an Accord, it's so old and so reliable. I also have my dad's '08 Chevy Malibu. It's a good car, and it was cheap. I have to sell one or the other.
