I lived two miles south of the lake (oh, those ice storms!) and rode a yellow school bus south to h.s. in Brockport. Now I understand why it took me so long to walk to my dentist's after school -- the streets weren't laid out correctly. It was fun riding across the Erie Canal every day and sometimes having to wait for the lift bridge to come down.
