    Tom "Speedball1"
Many of you who visit the plumbing desk know of Tom, our old mentor and friend. Tom has been off the desk since mid-December after a nasty attack of shingles. This is chicken pox in kids but when adults get it in their nervous system there can be serious complications. I had it in my face and lost the ability to talk, wife loved it, I did not. 6 Weeks of spech therapy and I told her what I thought. Tom's shingles made it into his face and all but blinded him. He is recovering but is, for all intent and purpose, too blind to read or use a computer. He is looking into some software and hardware that will read his read mail for him and transcribe his posts to AMHD. I hope to hear/see iof Tom soon and knew many of you would be happy to hear of his recovery.

I'm a shingles survivor too, and am so glad to hear he's coming back! Thanks, co-suburbanite, for the update.

Once Tom is back, we need to start a support group (or a club?) with weekly meetings. I'll bring refreshments.

Will there be beer? Tom is in Florida but he'd make the drive.

We could do beer and pizza. Meet halfway in Virginia Beach? Dollywood? Atlanta and invite Fr_Chuck with his wife singing for us?
