Before playing any MMORPG just be sure you are not the addictive type.

Everquest and the likes (ShadowBane, Dark Age of Camelot, EQ2 to name a few) can be very addictive due to the very large and in depth game world. Each game has a community within and they take it very serious. Ive even heard of in game weddings with surnames granted, family oriented guilds and game $$ sold on eBay for US dollars. I could go on but you get the point.

If you are a "gamer" at heart and tend to lean more towards playing than washing the dishes that have been flooding the sink id advise against it.

On the other hand it's a great game with more than 1K + players on at any given time from all over the world.

    Hope it helps

Enjoy - regardless of what you decide

You might want to try the Gabriel Knight series.
I had played "The Beast Within" and that's a fun game, it's an older game, but always fun to play.

Runescape. Most probably the best MMORPG you can get. (I've been searching and found no better 1's as of yet.) Its all based on medievil times(ish) and you walk around killing goblins or maybe even hill giants (depends on your lvl). If you feel like killing another player try fighting in the wilderness or the duel arena (duel arena is members only). For only £5 a month you can become a member and get more quests and weapons (e.g. dragon spear, DDS(dragon dagger super poisoned)ect.) Trust me you will love it!
