What you posted is the area of a circle.

is the ratio of a circles diameter to its circumference.

In other words. The distance around a circle is Pi, or about 3.14, times the distance across it.

    Area of a circle is

The radius is half the diameter.

Say a circle as a radius of 2 feet.

Its area is then square feet.

Say a circle has a diameter of 2 feet. It's circumference is then

In other words, if the distance across the circle is 2 feet, then the distance around it is about 6.28 feet

Does the food necessarily be a circle!

And galactus, it's RickJ (if I'm not mistaken) who made this thread through the Go skin to test things out, that is the features in that skin.

    Hello teste:

My math education STOPPED at pi. Interestingly, I've lived a whole life not know what it was, and I don't think I missed anything.

Of course it has to be a circle--- that's why the answer to "Pi are square" is "No they aren't, pi are round; cornbread are square!!"

Um... um... if you want to call it like that, no problem with me, it's the same, except that I don't use one fourth that often.
