I am 18 years old and never missed a menstrual cycle lately I have had a little spotting off and on but never the full thing, I can't hold down certain foods and recently I have had diarrhea, I took a pergnancy test but it came back negative is it possible that I am pregnant or is it something else?

How late is your period and when did you take the HPT?

Sometimes you'll skip or have a short/long cycle. Stress and other factors can also affect menstration. Its hard to say, but especially at 18 its not uncommon to have fluctuations--you're still very young!

20 days late and feb 28 is when I took the test. I have no stress lol :) so I don't know what do you think??

Did you follow the instructions on the test exactly? Did you use first morning urine and check the result in the time frame directed on the test?

There are many things that can cause you to skip a period. You mentioned diarrhea, it could be that you're sick and that's why you're missing your period.

Wait until your next period is due. If you also skip that one then try testing again, make sure to follow the directions exactly. If you're anxious now then you can go to your doctor for a more accurate blood test.
