Yes it has a touchpad, the buttons on the pad don't work. Hence no right click, hence the reason I want a mouse...

At this point the only laptops that don't have them are the newest models.
The port looks like this:
How did it happen that all your USB ports stopped working? Maybe it's just a software fix.

I've redownloaded the drivers before. There's a whole thread about this... its been abandoned cause nothing worked
Unfortunately I cannot afford a new laptop at this time, nor expensive repairs...

What make/model laptop?
Operating System?

I bet if you try again we might be able to fix the laptop.
Here is one thing that may have been overlooked. USB drivers may be fine. But there may be a problem in the root hub. USB's usually run through a usb root hub and if that isn't working right none of your usb's will work because it doesn't know how to talk to anything.

I would assume that I do. It's a Dell Vostro 1000. Windows XP, I think.

Do you know how to get to contol panel? Then device manager. Then look at Universal Serial Bus controlers.
See if it exists. Also here is the diagnostic program from Dell for your laptop.

It may also be listed as hardware and sound. In that section you should find device manager.
If not try typing it under the windows "help" where your start button is and it will link you to it.

Excel: change relative address to absolute address
[ 1 Answers ]
Hi,
In Excel spreadsheet, how to change relative address to absolute address for many cells at same time? I know how to use F4 to do the change, but it is not an option when I have to deal with the addresses in a 150 row x 50 column table.
