Electric floor scrubber or battery operated?
I'm buying a floor scrubber for stripping and waxing.
Which is better, battery or electric... The battery operated one I'm looking at is 24 volt.
    Thank you,
    Maryanne

The electric will last far longer than any battery one will.

Do you NEED one that works where you have no electrical outlet? Base your decision on that question.

If you always have ready access to an a live electrical outlet... you will have a longer service life and less problems than a battery powered unit. And many times they are cheaper as well.

Batteries aren't cheap and they have a certain lifespan. That will up your cost over a number of years, Battery powered equipment are convenient when you would need to have excessively long power cords to reach an outlet... or have to have your own generator. And the only time I would say a battery powered anything has a real advantage.

Take a look at what a replacement Batty pack or battery would cost, how long should it last and... factor that into the price when you compare.

There are situation where the battery powered unit will be an advantage, and others a disadvantage. Decide based on what your actual needs are based on your own experience on the job.
