What are the rules on the number of bets that can be placed on a roulette table?
I am curious about this and the payout on hitting the exact number.

Bets as far as 1 player or as a table? Its mostly house rules. Most have limits of somekind.

I don't think there is a limit, Placing 1 chip on each numbers is odds against you, If I remember, there are 36 numbers and 0 and 00. A total of 38 numbers, but I think the odds were 36 to 1. You would spend $38 to win $36, not a good bet.
I used to do like Red and odd, red and even or any combination plus a couple of numbers, groups of numbers.

    Hello s:

The croupier keeps on spinning the wheel and doesn't WAIT for the bettors to place their bets.. So, the bettors have the time in between spins to place as many bets as they can. But, once the little ball starts to drop, the croupier ENDS the betting...

    That's a limit of sorts.

Excon, I bet you 50 to 1, I could place money all over the table before the ball drops. I think they may even encourage me.

So if its 36 to 1 and you placed bets on 34 places you'd win a bit and you'd be betting against 4 numbers basically. Seems like you could win, but if it was limited to the amount of time that would definitely limit this idea.

    Hello again, s:

It's easier than that. If you can imagine the layout, you can put a bet on the corner where four numbers meet, and bet on all four. You could put your money at the bottom of a column and take all the numbers in that column. So, with a little dexterity, you COULD manage the system you have in mind.

Personally if I was going to play Roulette now(and seriously wanting to win, not just have a good time), I would watch 1 table through about 40 spins and see the amount of red to black, and odd to even, and the numbers if possible. Then play those that hit most.
I believe a group of MIT guys(and girls) watched tables and realize they repeat more than you would think, and won Big.
Casinos would relocate the tables to make this difficult, they would mark the individual tables.
I use to think this was a VERY random game, just like KENO, but a guy with one of the slot companies who tried to warn the Gaming Commission about Fixing of slot machines, and when they did nothing, he decide to try, he figure how to win at KENO, he had a friend in a room with the program and Laptop and told him what to choose.
To this day I don't know how this worked?

The KENO Hack is described in the Bottom half of the article.
Another thing on KENO, a game of chance?:

I have a circa 1896 pool table in pretty good condition however, it is in need of some tender loving care, (the legs and new bumpers and felt). Manufacturer name plate is missing but I do have pantented numbers on the table ranging from JAN 1896--MAY 1912.
