    Married, living in different states
My husband and I got married in April. He was a student in TN all year. I lived and worked in IL. In November I moved to TN and continued working for my IL based company. Which state returns do we need to file?

If you are filing joint return, your husband is resident of TN and report all his income. You are part year resident of TN and will report income earned while present in TN.

IL return. You are part year resident and report income earned while present in IL. Your husband is nonresident and does not have any IL income. Your U.S. Tax Return: Working or Living in Two or More states
