    Finding x and y intercept
    How do I find x- and y-intercept of Y= 4x-7

    Well, the x-intercept of a line is where the line crosses the x-axis. The x-axis is defined as all points where y=0. So, all you have to do is substitute y=0 into your equation, then solve for x.

    Similarly, to find the y-intercept, set x=0 and solve for y.

    To find y intercept = Subsitute 0 in for x and solve for y. Coordinate is (0,y)
    To find x intercept = Subsitute 0 in for y and solve for x. Coordinate is (x, 0)

    To find the y-intercept, plug in 0 for x and do the arithmetic. TO find the x-intercept, plug in 0 for y and algebraically solve for x.
