    Recycle Bin Error
When I go to empty my Recycle Bin I get the following error:

If I reboot the PC, I can then empty it no problem, after adding a few files to the recycle bin it again gives the error, the files are basic files such as MP3, Notepad documents etc, no protected or system files.

I searched Microsofts database online and got nothing helpful.

    My Specs:

    Windows XP Pro SP3
    AMD Athlon XP 2.16GHz
    1GB RAM

Are you completely out of everything when you try to delete? You can't be in any program that uses the files you are attempting to delete.

Yes, I even checked task manager to make sure that winamp or any of the file programs were closed.

Well I am still assuming that these files/folders are in use somewhere. You may not seem them but they're locked for a reason.

There are multiple programs out there that can fix this issue.

You can use the following program to delete the locked file...

    Download Unlocker and Instructions

Or, this program to mark the file to delete on next startup

    BDel Download and Instructions!

Thanks, been using "Unlocker" past few days and its sorted the recycle bin problem. At first it popped up asking for permission to delete the contents, now it does it automatically, a great program.
