    given:
    tan Yn= f g-1 (Pu*Un*-Pn-1*Un-1)/({m-Pn-1)
estimate the relationship betwee Ys=Y1 (surface slope) and Yt=Yz (slope of thermocline) for a two layer model with a horizontal bottom, a thermocline: change in density (delta P)= 2 kg m(-cubed), and P1= 1027 kg m(-cubed). Assume that the velocity in the lower layer is zero ( layer of no motion)
