    Hello z:

If you watch the Antique Road Show, you'd know that condition is everything... Same thing with collectible coins. There is a MAJOR difference in value between a Brilliant Uncirculated silver dollar, and one full of scratches...

If you want to find out the value, take it to a few coin shops and ask them how much they'll pay for it. Don't trust ONE shop. Take it to a few.

    Hello again, z:

After rereading your question, I think you're talking about paper money.. I've never seen a silver dollar with a blue seal, plate numbers or signatures on it...

ZIVNY(?)- I belifve that excon is right , what you have is a { $1.00-SILVER CERTIFICATE, THE signatures on it should be {MELLON AND WOODS}SO I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU THE VALUES FOR A 1928A series, THE values on them are {VF-20= $25.00;; UNC-63= $55.00;; I want you to look at the serial number and see if there is a STAR (*) at the start of the serial number or a star at the very end of the serial number;; WHY _ A STAR NOTE IS A LOT MORE VAULEABLE:: {LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS A STAR:: VF-20 means VERY FINE -GRADE 20 and UNC-63 means UNCIRCULATED -grade 63 IM giving you a site to go to here on collectables, IT will tell you which grade and condition your note is ,this plays a big part in their values;; Here it is ;; next line down
1.9)how do you grade the condition of paper money HAVE a great night and a better tomorrow and GOD BLESS :: F.B.E.
