    Help
I have a PC with Vista Windows. I've been using windows word typing. I have a new laptop with Windows 7. From the PC I put all the windows typing on a blank DVD, so I could go back and forth on the computers. All of a sudden my files are "Read Only" so I can't make any changes to files. I know I'm a dope on computer but I don't think I did anything wrong. HELP!! STEP BY STEP!! THANK YOU!!

If you are trying to open the files from the DVD, you won't be able to, unless you used a DVD-RW disk and formatted it for Read/Write.

If you copied the files onto the laptop, then retained the Read only attribute that was assigned when you copied them to the DVD. So you need to select all the files, right click and select Properties, then uncheck the Read Only attribute.
