My Lap top is making me angry, sorry
I have a brand new Acer Aspire One, and I love it. Its super cute and small and I can take it anywhere with me.

The problem I am having, is when I am typing, aparently I do SOMETHING to the touch pad that makes the internet 'go back' on accendent. Its REALLY making me angry, because several times I have been in the middle of long important emails or messages, and they get lost and I have to start over :( :(

So could someone please tell me WHAT it is that I am doing to the touch pad that is a command for 'go back'

    Thanks

Incedentally, it did it AGAIN while trying to post this.

Bet your tapping in one of the corners of the trackpad and have it set to back.

If this is Windows 7, I have no idea where the options are.

Mine are disabled. In fact I have all taps on the trackpad are.

I have an Acer one also.
I use a wireless mouse and disable the touch pad.
There is a button by the power that disables the touch pad.

I had the same problem of losing stuff by brushing the pad.

Try mouse properties. Device settings. Buttons. Based on a Compaq running XP.

Win7 is a simple case of typing Mouse in the search box ;)
This will bring up the mouse properties, then disable corners, etc.

    AHH I found it!

In multitouch Gestures, there are check boxes for

    ENable Flick Navigation

    Enable pan scrolling

Enable Pinch zoom (which I also have issues with while typing!)

    Enable pivot rotation

I just unchecked all of those lol. If I want any of thse done, I just do them manually anyway.

    Thank you everyone!
