    Leaking ice maker
I've recently repainted my kitchen. I moved our refrigerator which has an icemaker. When I was ready to move the refrigerator back, I cut the copper tubing and used all new compression connectors. The fitting is as tight as I can get. It still leaks very, very little. Is there a certain ice maker kit installer that you recommend or something I might be missing. Thank you for any help you would offer.

    Thank You

Now this is up to you, but I personally recommend plastic flexible lines when connecting an icemaker. This way if you ever have to pull the fridge out to clean or what ever, it stands less chance of leaking or bending the copper line.

That said, if you still want to stick with copper, a compression fitting is as follows:

You slide the compression nut on the tube, then the compression ring, then push it into the fitting as far as it can go, then tighten the nut onto the fitting. Unless something is stripped, then it shouldn't leak.

However like I said, copper flex lines offer less forgiveness if they get bumped or jostled.
