Goes State by State. Most open around Oct. 20 for guns. Bow and Muzzle loaders are earlier. Alabama opens late this year, not until just before Thanksgiving.

Not quite. You need a tag for your F-150. It always says "Premium notice due by ..." and it's issued by Farm Bureau Insurance services.

Good to have a back up if your batteries run low or don't work at all.
Always keep spares with you because they can go without warning.

I want a new rifle, that I can build up with accessories. Any suggestions? I am thinking AR-15 but I am not sure yet, Maybe start with something a little cheaper and work up.

I've been practicing a lot with my new Taurus PT738.

It's a .380: Not nearly as accurate as my Walther PK380 but a great pocket gun that I carry everywhere... Yes, legally: I have a concealed carry license :)

Frankly, I would NOT recommend the Taurus (or the Ruger) as the magazine release is too near where the thumb goes using a typical grip.

Next time I get a hankering for a new CC pistol, I'll look for one where the magazine release is in a better place.

Depends on the money you have to invest really. Many people like the AK47 platform. You can do tons of stuff with it and lets face it they are known for slinging lead downrange :)

SKS is another platform. The initial guns are cheap and you can customize them any way you like.

The only problem with semi auto's right now is they are so fun to shoot you can burn through ammo (expensive) like crazy. On the bright side any build your wanting to do no matter what platform you choose you have a great amount of choices you can make. They even have dedicated AR's in a 22 cal platform so they are cheap to shoot.
