Finding caliber of pellets for single pump pellet gun
I have a pellet rifle with no manufacturer markings that I can find on it. I want to purchase pellets for it and do not know what caliber to use.

That looks very similar to a BSF .177 calibre break barrel. It may be a .22 if it is a BSF, but those are not very common.

.177 pellets are pretty cheap, so try some. There's a large enough difference that it should just rattle around in the chamber if the gun is a .22.

We got some .177 pellets and they work. I'm still interested in finding out who made this air rifle.

Air Rifles and Air Arms have gone through a great evolution since their humble beginnings as a BB gun. Air Rifle competitions are now held around the world. Modern Air Rifles now range from starter models to very sophisticated, upscale models. http://www.airarmsairrifles.com

I own three of these. I have 2- 1.77 cal and 1- 22 cal. The name on the boxes said HERCULES. They were made in China, and used by the Chinese military to practice with. Do not put a 1.77 cal pellet in the 22cal barrel and fire the gun, it might turn and jam in the barrel. Pellets are cheap enough to purchase both kinds. Try the 22 cal pellet first if it fits snug in the barrel, then that is the correct pellet.
