The Many Uses for Tuna! Recipes Anyone?
    Hi, All!

Okay, the thread about using the celery leaves was making me really hungry, especially when we brought tuna into the picture!

Let's see.. There's tuna sandwiches. Tuna casseroles. Tuna salad, or even using it in a lettuce salad. Baking it in various ways. Frying it in various ways... Just eating it out of the can with some mayo in it. That's about all I can come up with for now!

I learned the hard way that trying to microwave it can be a disaster!

I'm trying to come up with some ideas on how to use it. Please help me out!

Please also share you're favorite recipes for using it! :)

    Thanks!

Edit: Talking about the uses for whole pieces of tuna rather than just canned would be helpful too!

To me the only way to make tuna casserole is to make sure when you put it together you put potato chips in it. Crunch them up first and it adds extra flavor and you shouldn't need to add any salt.

I'm assuming you are talking about canned tuna.
If not just sear it over high heat on both sides.:)

I forgot to mention my all time favorite for tuna. Nice thick slice of fresh tuna sushi. Love it like that.

My wife makes one of my favorite dishes... simply tuna fish casserole with peas and small carrots. Then with fresh hot bread and butter.

Calif I will try the potato chips, thanks.

Yes, I'm talking about canned tuna. The thought of having a chunk of the whole fish hadn't even entererd my mind. Thank you for mentioning about other than that canned stuff. :)

It would be good to bring having it in whole sections into the picture here.

    Thanks!

I think I remember you mentioning that you're not a huge mustard fan clough, but in case you're ever feeling adventuress... :)

I like to mix lots of garlic aoili (sp?) mustard, a good amount of sweet pickle relish, a little mayo, and a touch of salt and pepper.

You can grill it, make a casserole, make burgers. There are a ton of options for tuna. Here's a whole list http://www.fasteasyrecipe.com/recipes/tuna
