Oprah Winfrey to appear on OWN cable channel
BBC News - Oprah Winfrey to appear on OWN cable channel
Talk show star Oprah Winfrey is to host a night-time programme on the cable TV channel she is launching in January.

The hour-long show, titled Oprah's Next Chapter, will take the 56-year-old out of her usual studio "for conversations and travel around the world".

The show will premiere on OWN - The Oprah Winfrey Network - late next year.
Have we seen too much of her already?

I have. At least this way I can block the channel.

I have to give her credit for raising the standard of daytime talk shows. Donahue and Maury and Jerry Springer were not what I call quality TV. Her time, however, has passed. She'll have to come up with a very different format to make this one succeed.

She has money, so much money she doesn't know what to do with it.

Shania Twain is going to have a show on there and so is Will.I.Am from the black eye'd peas.

    Crazy!

    Hello Steve:

I hear he's going to be taking over Oprah's slot. His new show is called BSing with Barry. Didn't you see the part in the health care bill where it's mandatory that you watch? It comes right after Death Panel's.

    Is that Unconstitutional?

I have no problem with her ;and that's from someone who may have seen a half hour of her show altogether .

While she finds ways to keep herself occupied with "all her money " ;she manages to keep thousands of people employed in her enterprises . She's a good employer too . On her 55th birthday she took 1700 employees and their families on a Mediterranean cruise .

Yeah yeah I know ;she's just another greedy capitalist with an oversized ego . But,while she's amassing that fortune through her hard work, she's also managed to give millions away in charitible enterprises.

I hope she has a long life and continues to prosper .

I never implied she doesn't do any good with her money... I've heard and read about all the marvalous things she does.

Hell anyone with that much money wouldn't know what to do with it! I know I sure wouldn't. I'd probably get my own satalite company too.

Nothing personal ;but I've had this conversations with others who question "when is enough enough ? " All I have to say is that I'm glad they are out there . I have never been employed by a poor person in my life.
