    Mild concussion
What are the symptoms of a mild concussion?

A 3-4 foot tall section of a telephone pole fell on my head on Sunday. I was fine on Sunday, just a bump and mild pain when I touched where I was hit, which is to be expected.

Yesterday and today I've been out of it. Tired all the time. Slower mental response time. More easily distracted than usual. Forgetful. Mild headache. Slightly fuzzy vision a few times. Mildly nauseous. Today is worse than yesterday.

I know, we ere on the side of caution on here. The first response will be to tell me to go to a doctor. I, honestly, can't afford it. If it is just a mild concussion, all they'll do is tell me to limit my physical activity and give me a tylonol that I'll be charged $60 for taking.

I know you don't want to hear it but you really need to go. You could fall asleep and never wake up with the symptoms your giving. That was a rather large section that fell on you. You could have some interior swelling. And before the fluid gets to be too much you need to see a doctor. In a mild concission it usually goes away in a day except for the headaches. Those can last a long time. What your describing is worsening symptoms after the fact. That's NOT good. Get checked out.

That was my thought, too. I just wanted a second opinion, I guess.

Take it from me, I have had many concussions, and you don't want to mess around with them! I did, I thought I could handle it. I WAS WRONG! I played soccer with them for many weeks and one day the pain was so bad, and I went to the ER. The bruise on my brain had doubled size, I was sent to so many doctors and specialists, and all they did was ask questions and give me tests. It was so expensive and not with it because now I get severe headaches all the time. SO PLEASE GO TO A DOCTOR, BECAUSE I Don't WANT ANYONE TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS THAT.MAY LAST MY WHOLE LIFE, LIKE.I DO! Btw I'm only 14 so I have a lot.of life left! Lol (: good luck and be safe!
