Vodafone UK trying to get money off me
I cancelled my contract with Vodafone back in January, and paid what I owed over the phone a few weeks after that after the final charges were put on the bill from that month.
I was told very clearly over the phone that "this is the last bill you will get from Vodafone, you owe us nothing else". I asked this because the final bill was meant to be taken off a deposit I had put down a few months earlier after a change of ownership to me but instead I was refunded the whole deposit and sent out a bill...
So, after being told I have nothing left to pay back in January, I've just been sent a bill for £53.04, and as I'm refusing to pay it, they're referring it to a debt collector... am I in the right?
Tell me before I take on the debt collectors..

If the bill you paid from Vodafone was clearly titled FINAL then that's it.
You owe them nothing further.
Yes they may send it to a collector, who will then threaten all sorts, but they don't have a leg to stand on.

I don't have any experience with them, the sites show are people who feel as you do and may have had luck, You would have to see their solutions, when I get home from work I will look through and see what I can Find from those sites.

Well that's it then.
Might be worth throwing a letter at them asking for an explanation as to why you have received this demand when you have already paid the final bill in Jan.
Keep EVERYTHING in writing, no more phone calls.

How can I complain to Vodafone

I changed my contract with Vodafone UK last March, they upgraded me. It was supposed to be for six months at half price, then if I called them again the following six months was going to be half price also. Guess what? They wouldn't honour this.
I asked them when I could 'upgrade' again and I...
