    Not an anwer, but just an opinion/thought:

    You need an attorney to look over to see how it's worded. Depending on how clear it is, you may have difficulty getting out of it.

    We do have a couple attorneys that browse these boards, so if you can attach it one might be able to give you a clearer answer.

    I agree with Rick, talk with a lawyer.

    There are some limitations to non-compete clauses that a lawyer will be better to assist you with.

    That law varies depending on where you live.
