    Well, actually it's true.

    Reasoning is closely associated with inferring. The reasons we provide allows us to infer certain conclusions. In other words our reasons can provide evidence of the truth of the conclusion.

    Yes, inference is the process which allows us to establish the truth of certain propositions,i.e.. The conclusion.
