    What is the total range for blood sugar tested before meals and after meals?

    A diabetic?

    You should shoot for 80 mg/dl for morning fasting levels and <150 2 hours after a meal.

    SHooting for 80-150 before meals is indivualistic.
    If your insulin resistant, then shoot for 80
    If insulin sensitive shoot for 150.

    You doc should give you a good range.

    These are US measurements.

    It's important to test 1-2 hrs after a meal once in a while.
