    Pogo games not loading
Hmmm, I don't know why my title showed up like that, I thought I typed in Pogo games not loading...

I have charter security suite, and I think the firewall is blocking the pogo games from loading. I've done what the pogo website suggested, but still can't get it to work. Can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do to allow it to download the games? Maybe it is my IE also, I don't know. I've been having a lot of computer issues in the last few weeks and had to reset all of my settings. Any suggestions would be great. Also, how do I find out what version of IE I have? Are other browsers less prone to corrupted files? My computer is a 4 year old dell, so doesn't have a lot of the power that some newer machines have. I can't have something that takes up too much space. Thanks

Try using Firefox, if there is still a problem we can blame the firewall.

Well, I downloaded Firefox, and I do like it. Pogo games are still not loading. When you go to the pogo site, then click on a specific games, it goes no farther than "Transferring data from ad.doubleclick.net" It gets stuck there. Any suggestions?

    Go to:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

    Open the file titled Hosts.

If you see anything after this line: "127.0.0.1 localhost" then delete it. Save the file, restart your browser (maybe computer too) and try again.

Thank you, I will try that. Now... with the Firefox, why won't the apps on Facebook load?

When I try to open the hosts file, it asks me which program I want to use to open it.

The host's file is the first place that the computer looks for IP address when you type in a .com. Your firewall may have put a bunch of links to a dead place, blocking certain types of advertisement.

    What is the Hosts file?

So it didn't matter what was trying to call, just where it was told to go.

It wouldn't hurt anything if you did, yes you can. Later down the road more will be added by spybot and/or your antivirus, but see if this will fix your problem. If you are worried about it hurting something, you can open it, "Save As" something else and open it again, and delete the entries. This will leave you a backup copy. Make sure after deleting them, to save the file as the original, not your backup.
