Clear slimy mucus - suggestions to rid
OK, Asthma sufferer with Allergies to Ragweed and tree pollen

Taking Symbicort inhaler, Nasacort nasal spray, Optivar (Eye lubercant drops)+Albuterol rescue inhaler. Always rinse mouth after taking meds.

Peak flow is typically 450 l/min out of a reference of 630. All time max has been about 480 l/m.

Asthma & Allergy specialist seems clueless to try to get rid of the mucus.

There is always something present in the throat, but when I wake up in the morning, I cough a lot of it up and almost choke on it. It's totally clear and it almost looks like a web on a tissue.

Always seem to want to drink fluids but can't, of course, when I'm sleeping.

I don't like Mucinex because it tends to make breathing more difficult. Claritan works when the nose runs, which it usually doesn't. It's been suggested to try Chloretrimeton which I used maybe 40 yrs ago when it was a prescription. All suggested by Allergy & Asthma specialist.

    Any suggestions. Natural or otherwise.

I've just ordered my hubby a salt pipe for his asthma. Obviously I can't say if it willl help yet but heard some good things. You could try googling salt pipe and see what you think. Also someone on here mentioned a salt nasal spray:

Nasal washes and saline nasal sprays I also use.

The Lung flute is a new product that should have approval very soon. Medical Acoustics Introduces the Lung FluteŽ - Medical Acoustics The thing does use reeds that need to be replaced quite frequently.

I'll check out the salt pipe. Maybe report beck when you get results.
