I remember different animals all doing different olympic events and there were these two cross country lions with this great background music and the lions didn't talk, but you could hear their thoughts to each other. There were many other events and animals, but I can't remember much else. I think the narrator was imitating barbara walters... maybe??

It's called Animalympics - it's from 1980.

Thanks Wolfgang! That is it. Looks like there is a website dedicated to getting the soundtrack released. It doesn't look like there is a DVD version though. That stinks. Oh well :( I'll have to find the VHS version.
