    Garage Door
    I am having a problem with my garage door. It does not matter what remote I use or If I use the key pad. The door will stop opening 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 of the way from opening up. Light works, and if you hit the button again, the door does go back down. If I keep trying, it will eventually open all the way up. Please shed some light on what is going wrong and how to fix it. Thanks a lot.:confused:

    Could be the clutch is out of adjustment. Is there a hole in the back with a nut inside? Try tightening it a few turns. You want it just tight enough that it seldom stops in normal operation, but stops if it hits something. Actually, I think it should reverse when it hits something.

    Also, disconnect the opener, and see if the door works freely. The opener is no cure for a poorly adjusted, difficult to work door.
