    Ceiling moving slow
    I have a ceiling fan with a remote control. I can turn it off and on, but it will only turn the fan on slow?

    Hold the speed buttom down for 5-7 seconds , did that make a change?

    There are three speed buttons, slow, med and high, which one shall I hold down.

    The fan is slow on all 3 speeds? What make is the fan? Does it have pullchains?

    Yes it has pullchains and a remote. The fan is slow in all 3 speeds. It is a Hampton Bay.

    Pull the chain and then try the remote on all 3 settings. All 3 should now be faster or slower, think someone pulled the chain without your knowledge. Use the remote to get the fan moving the fastest, even though it is slower than when new, then pull the chain up to 3 times to get everything running full speed.

    Set the remote to high. Pull the pullchain until the fan cycles to high speed. Now control the fan with the remote.

    IF THAT Doesn't WORK.

    Open the fan at the ceiling, remove the remote receiver, wire the fan without it. Does it work properly from the pullchains?
