My Son is 5 and I think he has a learning disability
My Son seems to have a problem and I can't figure out what it is. He speaks very well, it's almost like you are talking to an adult. However he can't figure out the most simple of task like putting on two socks because you have two feet. He will keep putting socks on top of each other .And when you ask him a simple questions he can't answer them. He comes up with the craziest off the wall things that make no sense at all. If I ask him why did you kick someone at school? He says " well his name is drew" Or " Well we were in the hallway. He memorizes things he sees easily, like site words or letters. He is mean to other kids in school. He hits them and kicks, lies on them and says mean things to them. When I punish him, like time out, making him write sentences, taking away toys or no TV he doesn't care nothing seems to bother him at all. On one hand he seems intelligent and on the other he seems to be the opposite. I know most children are like that but this is too much in both directions. Any thoughts?

Have you had a parent conference yet with the teacher and/or the Principal? I'd start there, I am sure they have discussed him in the office already.
