    Is a career change good for me now?
    I just started a job in July (after being laid off for 11 months). A friend suggested I apply for a position at her company (even though it technically isn't open). Will this be a good career/financial move for me? Thank you! :)

    Its certainly worth trying and see what materialises,then go from there. Always best to keep your options open.
